Making the most of the new school year

As the new school year approaches, we asked Sportily apprentice Daniel to share some of his thoughts and encouragement for anyone getting ready to head back to school.
"Going back to school can be both really exciting and daunting. Maybe you’re starting secondary school, moving to a new primary school, or simply heading into a new class or year group. While change can feel stressful or scary, it’s important to try to look at it positively and be excited about the opportunities ahead, whether that’s meeting new friends, learning new things or trying something different.
I’ve found that putting 100% into what you do and keeping your head up can really help you make the most of the opportunities in front of you. I’d also encourage you to ask questions and try something you’ve never tried before. Maybe it’s a new sport, learning a language or going on a school trip. You might discover that you really enjoy it, and who knows, you could even become an expert in French… or a cricket player!
As a Christian, I find it really helpful to pray about new challenges that come my way and to thank God for new opportunities and experiences. I’d encourage you to give it a try too.
So, whatever this new school year brings, go for it! Keep your head up, try new things, meet new people and make the most of every opportunity."
