Sportily is powered by people.

From volunteers and young leaders to apprentices and employed coaches, our team gives their time, energy and skills to bring sport, activity, fun, positive relationships and the Christian faith into communities across Gloucestershire.

Last year, Team Sportily delivered more than 7,000 hours of activity.

That’s thousands of hours spent coaching, encouraging, leading, listening, playing and helping people discover that sport can be about so much more than being active.

And after all those hours, some of our team T-shirts are looking pretty tired!

We want to make sure our team have the kit they need to look the part, feel part of the team and be easily recognised wherever they are working.

Because when you see a Sportily T-shirt, you know who we are.

It helps people recognise our team at schools, community events, sports sessions and residentials. It gives parents and participants confidence that they are in the right place, and helps us build the trust that is so important when working with children, young people and families.

But there’s something else too.

Wearing the Sportily logo says: “I’m part of this team.”

That’s why we’re asking our supporters to help us kit out Team Sportily for another year.

Meet Fin

Fin’s story shows what being part of Team Sportily can mean.

Fin first came along to a local football session near his home. What started as a weekly opportunity to play football soon became much more.

As Fin built relationships with Sportily’s leaders, he was encouraged to take on responsibility and began helping to lead sessions across different sports. Over time, he grew in confidence, communication and leadership, and discovered a real sense of purpose as part of the wider Sportily team.

His first TRAC residential as a young leader was a particular turning point. He saw first-hand the positive impact Sportily can have on young people’s lives, relationships and confidence.

Sportily then invested in Fin’s development, supporting him to gain his FA Level 1 coaching qualification.

And now his journey is taking another step forward.

From September, Fin will join Sportily as a full-time Sports Coach Apprentice.

He’ll be part of the team delivering the full range of Sportily’s work – getting involved in sessions, schools, holiday activities, community sport and all the other things that make Sportily what it is, wearing a Sportily T-shirt with pride.

That T-shirt will represent a young person who came through the door to play football, discovered his potential, was given opportunities to lead, gained qualifications and is now taking his first steps into a career in sport and community work.
